After their recent exhibition at ESPACIO 36/ÁNGEL ALMEIDA art Gallery, in Zamora, Arturo AMEZ and Javier AOIZ ORDUNA move the exhibition entitled DOS EN SINGULAR (TWO IN SINGULAR) to SALA PICASO, in Burgos.
This time, the exhibition shows ten sculptures and eighteen paintings. Urban landscapes and still lifes, with the cathedral of Burgos as the protagonist, accompanied by fruit and tables set for breakfast. Moroccan kasbahs, New York, Bilbao, Madrid, Cádiz or Peñíscola, are complemented by galactic animals, mermaids, Olympic dreams, ashen girls and matrioshkas in grey steel or greenish bronze, glass, marble and metal. The spires of the gothic of Burgos or the skyline of the big city flooded by the light of twilight, together with the rotundity of granite and the metal of a shopping centre. The landscape that shelters the summer light or simply the silence that comes from the non-song of a siren on strike. The hard iron and stone contrast with the softness of the various chromatic surfaces on the canvases, but they celebrate each other and like to share the space to evoke the happy event of this new meeting of painting and sculpture.
This exhibition could be enjoyed during the summer months, from May 13th to mid-September 2022, in opening hours.
