BBVA Painting Awards 2017 Presentation
On November 27th, the BBVA Painting Awards 2017 ceremony was held at the Adanero Palace, the headquarters of the Civil Service Secretariat State, where I was awarded second prize for my painting entitled TOLDOS (EL MICALET) (2017, acrylic on canvas, 89×116 cm).
The event, presented by Ms. Myriam Pallarés Cortón, MUFACE General Secretary, was presided over by the Deputy Congress President, Ms. Ana Pastor Julián, and was attended by the Civil Service’s Secretary of State headquarters, Ms. Elena Collado Martínez; the MUFACE Director, Mr. Antonio Sánchez Díaz; the BBVA Recruitment and Collectives Director, Mr. Fernando Arnal Rubio, and the rest of the Jury’s members: Mr. Manuel Huertas Torrejón, Professor of Pictorial Techniques and Materials at the Fine Arts Faculty, Madrid Complutense University; Ms. Victoria Chico Picaza, expert in Art; and Mr. Manuel C. Fages Marta, MUFACE union representative. After the speeches, diplomas were awarded to several of the shortlisted participants who were present and, finally, the prizes were awarded to the three winners. In my case, it was Ms. Elena Collado Martínez who gave me the diploma accrediting my Second Prize.
After the official event photos of the event and the cocktail party with which we were entertained, the three winners were formally presented with our checks. In my case, I received it in the Adanero Palace Library from Mr. Fernando Arnal Rubio, BBVA Recruitment and Collectives Director .
I was accompanied by my husband, Ramón de Juan, and our common friend Javier Gómez.
