FROM MADRID TO NEW YORK Vernissage
On Thursday, March 3, 2011, at 7.30 pm, at ÁNGELES PENCHE Art Gallery (Monte Esquinza St 11 – Madrid), was inaugurated FROM MADRID TO NEW YORK, my new painting Individual Exhibition.
On that occasion and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my first exhibition in an Art Gallery, we celebrated with some ham and cheese, some wine and a mini-concert of voice, piano and flute, by:
Cristina Pereda (voice)
Maria Angeles Beitia (piano)
Javier Alonso (flute)
The repertoire consisted of the following pieces of classical music:
1. Ay Luna, que reluces [Uppsala Songbook]
2. Un moto di gioja [K 579 – W.A. Mozart]
3. Deh vieni, non tard… [Le Nozze di Figaro – W.A. Mozart]
4. Casta diva [Norma – V. Bellini]
5. Youkali [Tango Habanera – Kurt Weill]
6. Auf Flügeln des Gesanges [Op. 34, No. 2 – Mendelssohn]
I leave you some photos and a fragment of the interpretation of the aria “Casta Diva”, from the opera Norma by Bellini, one of my favorites. Also some photos of this Vernissage.
I hope you liked it.
