MADRID RÍO 2024 II, a birthday gift
On Sunday 10 November 2024 we celebrated the birthday of my father-in-law, Ramón de Juan Cebrián. With that excuse I gave him and my mother-in-law, Adela Rubio García, MADRID RÍO 2024 II (2024, acrylic on canvas, 100×100 cm), a new version of this view of the Manzanares river from the area of the Puente de los franceses, with the Almudena cathedral and the the royal collections museum in the background.
We celebrated by having lunch together as a family and then hung the painting on the wall.
